2016 Frisian Flag

Since 1992 Frisian Flag exercise has developed into a major NATO exercise held annually in the northern part of the Netherlands. Aim is to practise large-scale air operations with different nations and strengthen international cooperation and leadership.


For the second time a large F-15 detachment of the USAF from California and Massachusetts ANG were present at Leeuwarden airbase.



For air refuelling aircraft were provided by the European Air Refuelling Training, which simultaneously took part in their exercise. This was EART exercise was conducted from Eindhoven airbase.
